Western – Strategic Support for SSHRC Success – Seed Grant

The purpose of this funding is to develop new and competitive externally-funded research proposals in accordance with SSHRC expectations.

Amount: Up to 25,000

Deadline:
Faculty Research Office: November 24, 2016 – if you wish to have feedback on your application please send to Karen Kueneman (kueneman@uwo.ca) at least 2-3 weeks prior to the deadline
Research Development & Services: December 1, 2016 (decision by January)

Eligibility: Early Career Researchers, who are within three years of the start date of their first eligible academic research appointment at Western. SSHRC’s Subject Matter Eligibility guidelines apply to this funding opportunity. The applicant must be eligible to hold a research grant at Western.

NOTE: Successful applicants must submit an external SSHRC grant application within two years of the start of the initial award and are encouraged to also apply for other external support.
