Killam Prize

Killam Prizes – 2017

Five prizes of $100,000 are awarded annually to provide support to Canadian scholars of exceptional ability who are actively engaged in research of broad significance and widespread interest. One prize is awarded in each of the following fields: humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, health sciences, and engineering.

Nomination Process
Hard Copy nomination files must consist of:

  • Online Nomination Form
  • Proof of Canadian Citizenship
  • Two-page description of research and contributions to the field
  • CV with one-page biography
  • 3 reference letters

Important Dates

June 15, 2016      Submission deadline (postmarked)
March, 2017         Notifications sent to prize recipients
Spring, 2017         Official announcement of prize winners
