Mitacs Elevate Program

Mitacs Elevate is a two-year postdoctoral fellowship. It involves a two-year research project with a partner organization that is in need of high-level expertise. Partner organizations provide $30,000 per year to the project. Over the two-year fellowship, Elevate fellows divide their time between their partner organization project and university-based research with their faculty supervisor.

The program provides an opportunity for faculty members to establish long-term collaborations with a partner organization that support postdoctoral research management skills and career development.

Amount: $55,000 annual award (plus $7,500 per year non-cash value in training) held in a research account by the faculty supervisor.

Deadlines:
Letter of Intent: June 7
PreReview of Drafts: June 21
Full Application: July 5

Eligibility: Mitacs Elevate is open to Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and international applicants. The fellow must be based at a university located in the same province as the partner organization for the duration of the fellowship.
