Ontario Arts Council – Music Recording Projects

The Ontario Arts Council’s (OAC) Music Recording Projects program supports the recording of music by Ontario-based musicians including composers, songwriters and beat producers. These recordings can include demos/EPs or full-length albums. The program’s priorities are to support music created by Ontario composers/songwriters as well as works by other Canadians.

Amount:
For demo/EP recordings, the grant maximum is $5,000.
For a full-length album, the grant maximum is $12,000.

Deadlines: May 16, 2018; November 15, 2018

Eligibility: Professional musicians and composers who are Ontario residents and have a permanent physical address in Ontario; Professional music ad hoc groups/collectives and organizations based in Ontario with a permanent physical address in Ontario; Ontario-based, professionally-led community orchestras and choirs, as well as choral training groups whose project includes fees to professional musicians or composers.

NOTE: In general, you will be unable to apply to OAC in your capacity at Western University.
