The Government of Canada is asking the research community to help shape the New Frontiers in Research Fund which supports high-risk, interdisciplinary and transformative research.
On June 26, 2019, the preliminary design of the inaugural New Frontiers in Research Fund Transformation stream was released. Researchers are invited to provide feedback on the design until August 1, 2019. The inaugural Transformation competition is expected to be launched in early October 2019.
The 2019 Exploration competition will open to researchers as of July 3, 2019.
