The Faculty Writing Support Program is organizing a Daily Writing Digital Drop-In!

This is a great way to commit yourself to setting aside time for writing every day for a week, while providing community support during a summer in which finding time and support can be challenging.

Throughout next week, show up daily for drop-in Zoom writing sessions, support, and camaraderie.

When: every day next week (July 27-31) – join any time between 9.30am and 12 noon
Where: on Zoom – email emily.ansari@uwo.ca for the meeting link
Who: Western faculty and post-docs

Schedule:
9.30 – 10am: Connect to the Zoom meeting to chat with colleagues about writing challenges in Covid summer, to articulate your targets for the day or week, or to talk about how the writing challenge is going.
10am – 12 noon: Join us muted at any time in the Zoom meeting (video on or not, as you prefer), post a goal to the group in the chat feed, and then just write, in the virtual company of your colleagues. When you start to lose momentum, come back to the Zoom screen and be inspired by the sight of your colleagues hard at work! We’ll also provide a link to a shared Google Doc, to provide accountability for the sharing of goals and daily progress, if you wish to use it.

If you are interested in joining for any or all of the drop-ins, or for any part of them, email emily.ansari@uwo.ca for the Zoom link.

This event is part of Western’s Faculty Writing Support Program—a grassroots enterprise led by Western faculty members with support and funding from Research Western. Email Emily Abrams Ansari (Music) emily.ansari@uwo.ca or Kelly Olson (Classical Studies, Women’s Studies) kolson2@uwo.ca for more information.
