The Petro-Canada program provides one award to a new researcher at Western to recognize, promote and support work that is particularly innovative, impacts positively on the learning environment in their department, and has the potential to be of significance to society at large.
Amount: $14,000
Deadlines:
Faculty Research Office: At least 1 week before the Agency Deadline (2-3 weeks earlier if you wish feedback on your application – submit to Karen Kueneman)
WesternResearch: March 8, 2021, ROLA, final application form and attachments, and Letter of Support submitted to Western Research (rwprizes@uwo.ca) – Award Announcement:May 2021
Eligibility: This award is offered to full-time faculty members from any discipline. At the time of application, applicants must be within 8 years of their initial appointment at a university (cumulative and not solely from initial appointment date at Western), and who currently hold an eligible research appointment at Western.
Application Process: A full nomination package will include:
- A completed application form and attachments
- The applicant’s current CV in any format
- A letter of support
- a ROLA proposal
