Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) Project Grant

If your research is in the area of health you may be interested in this funding competition.

Description: The opportunity is designed to capture ideas with the greatest potential to advance health-related knowledge, health research, health care, health systems, and/or health outcomes. It supports projects with a specific purpose and a defined endpoint. The best ideas may stem from new, incremental, innovative, and/or high-risk lines of inquiry or knowledge translation approaches.

Deadlines:
CIHR Registration: January 1820th, 2016 @ 8PM -Mandatory
Faculty Research Office: February 23, 2016. (If you wish to have feedback on your application allow at least one week.)
Research Development & Services: February 23rd @ 5PM – ROLA proposal and draft application
CIHR Full Applicaton: March 1 @ 2PM

Amount: Unspecified.  However, based on historical modeling, it is expected that most Project grant budget requests will fall within a range of $50K to $750K per annum and the grant durations will range between approximately 1 to 5 years. Project grant funding levels will be commensurate with need, which is expected to vary by research field, research approach, and scope of project activities.

Note: When you submit your Registration in ResearchNet, it will be sent directly to CIHR. When you submit your Full Application in ResearchNet, it will be routed through Western’s Research Development & Services for review and final submission to CIHR.
