Open Access Week encourages researchers to take steps to make their own work more openly available and to encourage others to do the same.

Western Libraries supports open access for researchers at all levels, through all stages of the research process in meeting open access grant requirements, highlighting author rights, and finding and selecting open access publishing opportunities.

In addition Scholarship@Western  is available to all Western researchers  providing a publishing platform that can both preserve and showcase publications while helping researchers to meet open access grant requirements.
