SSHRC Knowledge Synthesis Grants – Canada in an Interconnected World & Evolving Global Landscape

SSHRC has announced the next Knowledge Synthesis Grants competition.  This particular knowledge synthesis will address the challenge area of: How will Canada continue to thrive in an interconnected world and evolving global landscape? 

Amount: up to $25,000

Deadlines:
Faculty Research Office: At least 1 week before the SSHRC Deadline (2-3 weeks earlier if you wish feedback on your application – submit to Karen Kueneman)
Research Development & Services: January 9, 2017
SSHRC: January 12, 2017 (results announced March 2017)

These grants are not intended to support original research, rather they are intended to support the synthesis of existing research knowledge on the topic and the identification of knowledge gaps.

Note: All synthesis reports must be completed by October 2017. and award holders will be requested to participate in two workshop meetings in Ottawa  tentatively scheduled for May and November 2017 respectively, to discuss the knowledge syntheses. Travel costs for these meetings must be included in the budget submitted as part of the application. Details on the meetings will be provided to successful applicants.
