American Library Association (ALA) – Diversity Research Grant

The ALA’s Diversity Research Grant program will support research that addresses critical gaps in the knowledge of equity, diversity, and inclusion issues within library and information science.

Amount: $2,500 (over one year)

Deadlines:
Faculty Research Office: 5 days prior to ALA deadline. (If you wish to have feedback on your application allow at least two weeks – contact Karen Kueneman)
Research Western: 5 days prior to ALA deadline
ALA: April 15, 2018

Description: The Diversity Research Grant supports a one year original research project and complimentary registration for one conference in conjunction with a presentation of findings at ALA Annual Conference or the ALA Midwinter Meeting. This award is given out on an annual basis.

Eligibility: The principal investigator submitting a proposal must be a current member of the American Library Association.  If you are not presently a member of ALA but wish to submit a proposal please visit the  Membership Website for more information on the benefits of joining ALA.
