The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) Project Grant: Spring 2019 competition is open for applications.
CIHR’s Project Grant program is designed to capture ideas with the greatest potential to advance health-related knowledge, health research, health care, health systems, and/or health outcomes. It supports projects with a specific purpose and a defined endpoint.
Amount: commensurate with need – expected to vary by research field, research approach, and scope of project activities
Deadlines:
REGISTRATION in ResearchNet (Mandatory): Feb 6, 2019, by/before 8PM. (Registrations go directly to CIHR.)
Application available: once you submit your registration
Faculty Research Office: Feb 20, 2019
Research Services: Feb 27, 2019, by/before 2PM. (Submit ROLA proposals for e-approvals, and PDF copies of applications (drafts accepted) to researchoffice@uwo.ca)
Final applications (in ResearchNet): March 6, 2019 by/before 2PM. (The applications route first to Research Services. Research Services does the final submission to CIHR.)
Eligibility: Open to applicants in all areas of health research that are aligned with the CIHR mandate: “To excel, according to internationally accepted standards of scientific excellence, in the creation of new knowledge and its translation into improved health for Canadians, more effective health services and products and a strengthened Canadian health care system”
