Research Western has announced that the Spring 2019 WSS for CIHR Success and WSS for NSERC Success Bridge funding opportunities are now open for applications.
Amount: up to $25,000
Faculty Research Office: At least 1 week before the sponsor (2-3 weeks earlier if you wish feedback on your application – submit to Karen Kueneman)
Western Internal Grants: May 30, 2019
Program Overview: Jointly supported by the office of the Vice-President (Research) and the researcher’s Faculty, the WSS for CIHR Success and WSS for NSERC Success Bridge Grant programs are targeted to established researchers who have recently been funded by CIHR or NSERC, but who no longer hold CIHR or NSERC funding.
Eligibility: In order to be eligible to apply for this opportunity, researchers must have been unsuccessful in a recent external CIHR or NSERC competition (e.g., NSERC Discovery Grant, Fall 2018 intake, or CIHR Project Grant 2018 intake). The purpose of this competitive funding is to address specific critiques in the most recent grant submission and increase the likelihood of success for a future application.
