Access to Justice Fund – The Law Foundation of Ontario

The Law Foundation of Ontario invites applications to the Access to Justice Fund (ATJF) for projects relating to:

  • Public legal education, triage, brief services, and referrals (including tools to assist self-represented litigants)
  • Indigenous peoples’ legal needs
  • Refugees

Grants made from the ATJF are to be used to support public access to justice.

Amount: up to $100,000 for short or multi-year projects

Deadlines:
Faculty Research Office: 5 days prior to agency deadline. (If you wish to have feedback on your application allow at least two weeks – contact Karen Kueneman)
Research Western: 5 days prior to agency deadline
Law Foundation of Ontario:  May 12, 5:00 pm EST for Stage 1, Letter of Intent

Eligibility: University researchers are eligible to apply. Applicants  must hold an eligible academic research appointment at Western.
