Mitacs has set aside a limited number of internship units to support research that directly aligns with the Federal and Provincial governments’ objectives at the moment:

If the partner is a small to mid-size enterprise (SME) they can get a discounted financial contribution: $3,750 + HST cash instead of $7,500 and Mitacs will provide the remaining $11,250 per unit for the $15K total. Mitacs has quick turnaround times for applications.
