Compute Canada: Support for COVID-19 Research Projects

Canada’s research community is mobilizing to help address the current COVID-19 crisis and the Compute Canada Federation (CCF) has an important role to play in supporting them in this work.

If you are working in this area and could benefit from access to compute resources and support, please encourage reach out to Compute Canada for assistance. Support could include:

  • providing access to cloud resources, high-performance clusters, storage or boosting job priority;
  • consulting on high-performance computing (HPC), data analysis, machine learning, and visualization; and
  • connecting researchers to Canadian scientists from other research areas and institutions to further collaborations.

To access these resources, please email support@computecanada.ca with “COVID-19” in the subject line.

Users with Resource Allocation Competition allocations may choose to repurpose their allocations for COVID-19 research. Please reach out to Compute Canada, using the email address provided above, to let them know your plans.  This will help them to efficiently manage demands on resources.

Researchers who are working on COVID-19 may also find these three portals useful: COVID-19 Resources Canada (https://covid19resources.ca), Cognit.ca (http://cognit.ca/) and CanCOVID (https://cancovid.ca).
