The Vice-President Research’s Small Grant Funding Program is available:

• to provide small seed grants for collaborative projects, with an eye towards facilitating larger grant applications
• for projects that might not fit very well for other internal funding sources  (e.g., time-sensitive)

Amount: up to $10,000

Matching Funds: must involve money from another source (although there is no strict matching funds requirement)

Deadlines:
Faculty Research Office: 5 days prior to submitting. Proposals must have Faculty Associate (or Assistant) Dean Research approval. (If you wish to have feedback on your application allow at least two weeks – contact Karen Kueneman)
AVPR Office: ongoing submissions, no deadline

Eligibility: Applicants  must hold an eligible academic research appointment at Western.
