The College of New Scholars, Artists, and Scientists is Canada’s first national system of multidisciplinary recognition for the emerging generation demonstrating a high level of achievement in an early and highly productive stage of their career. Membership terms are seven years.

Internal: Friday, September 29 | Notice of intent to nominate Email Awards & Distinctions if you wish to have Western Research support and coordinate your nomination. |
Internal: Friday, December 1 | Institutional Member nominations Submit complete dossiers, including all letters, to Awards & Distinctions. |
External: Friday, December 15 | Final submission to the Royal Society of Canada. |
Nominations: Nominees must fit the above description for either Fellowship or College membership and, at the time of their election, be Canadian citizens or have had Canadian permanent resident status for at least three years. Nominations for Fellowship or the College must be made by either:
- Fellowships
- A Fellow of the RSC (the preferred method).
- The university (Institutional Member nomination).
- College Membership
- A Fellow of the RSC or a current member of the College (the preferred method).
- The university (Institutional Member nomination).
