Western’s Centre for Teaching and Learning – Fellowship in Teaching Innovation 2024

The purpose of the Fellowship in Teaching Innovation award is to encourage faculty members (full-time and part-time) to pursue teaching innovations at Western University. The Fellowship exists primarily, but not exclusively, to support undergraduate and professional school teaching (excludes postgraduate medical education programs) at the University, matching Western’s commitment to the highest standards and quality of undergraduate education. 

Amount: $12,000

Deadline: March 1, 2024.

Description: Teaching innovation projects may take many forms, such as developing new strategies for student engagement or initiatives involving the novel incorporation of educational technology into classroom settings. The award may be used to develop teaching innovation projects through the purchase of release-time, support for graduate students, acquisition of technology, or to attend teaching conferences. 

Eligibility: The Fellowship is open to current faculty members (full-time and part-time) from any Western faculty (members of the Affiliated University Colleges are not eligible) at any stage in their teaching careers.

(Note: The Fellowship in Teaching Innovation is a one-year grant to support an innovation and research on the impact of the innovation. It is separate from the Teaching Fellows Program, which is a 3-year educational leadership role with time buyout and research funding).
