Canadian Bar Association – Law for the Future Fund 2024

The Law for the Future Fund provides financial support for innovative Canadian research projects in the field of law.

Amount: unspecified (average grant awarded for an individual project is between $10,000 and $40,000)

Deadlines:
Faculty Research Office: At least 1 week before the agency deadline (2-3 weeks earlier if you wish feedback on your application – submit to Karen Kueneman)
Western Research: At least 1 week before the agency Deadline
Canadian Bar Association: May 1, 2024

Funding Period: Projects must begin on September 1st and end on August 31st of the following calendar year (12 months).

Description: The Law for the Future Fund sponsors projects that are of national interest and/or are of benefit to the general public. Projects must be in one of the following fields: Legal research; Legal education; Legislation and law reform; Administration of justice.

Grants awarded in previous years

A ROLA proposal must be completed with the application.
