Early Researcher Awards Round 12: Information Session & NOI Deadlines

The Ontario Ministry of Research and Innovation has recently launched Round 12 of the Early Researcher Awards (ERA). The ERA program provides funding for outstanding new researchers to build their research team. In order to prepare for this round, Research Development will be providing an information session on the ERA program.

ERA Information Session

Monday, June 13, 2016
3 – 4 p.m.
Somerville House 2316

The information session will include: an overview of the ERA program and its objectives; Western’s timelines; tips for success; an overview of resources available for applicants; and perspectives from an ERA Review Panel from Mark Daley. For those unable to attend, slides will be made available after the session.

Information on this round of the program, along with Western’s timelines and resources, is available on the Research Western website. You can also find information on the MRI website.

Notices of Intent (NOI): Notices of Intent must be submitted to RD&S by Tuesday, June 14 and will be submitted by the institution to the Ministry on June 17. A copy of the NOI form, pre-populated with Western’s institutional contact information, can be found on the Research Western website. Completed NOIs can be emailed to Carolyn Paterson.

Representatives from the Ministry of Research & Innovation are expected to visit Western in late June to provide an additional information session. Details will be forthcoming once they are confirmed.

Should you have any questions regarding the ERA program, contact Carolyn Paterson (ext. 82262) or Antoinette Martin (ext. 82640).
