Several changes to the Office of Human Research Ethics services and processes have recently occurred – including the introduction of new forms, and updates to guidelines and templates. 

Please be aware that with the introduction of new application forms and/or with updates to previous forms (e.g., HSREB/NMREB initial application, Amendment forms, CER, Closure, Reportable Event) within the Western Research Ethics Manager (WREM) system there is a requirement for all Project Owners to login to the WREM system and select the “Update” button for all their existing files.  This aligns ALL application forms to the same system version.  If the Project Owner does not select the “Update” button, those with access to the file will not be able to work within the file and create a sub-form (e.g., amendment, CER, Closure, Reportable Event) for already existing studies.
