Partnership Engage Grants provide short-term and timely support so that academic researchers can partner with organizations from the public, private or not-for-profit sector in research activities that will inform the decision-making of that single partner.

Amount: $7,000 – $25,000 (over one year)

Deadlines:
Faculty Research Office: 1 week prior to SSHRC deadline. (If you wish to have feedback on your application allow at least one week – contact Karen Kueneman)
Western Research: 1 week prior to SSHRC deadline
SSHRC: September 15; Upcoming deadlines: December 16, March 16, June 15

Description: The small-scale, stakeholder-driven partnerships are meant to respond to immediate needs and time constraints facing organizations in non-academic sectors. In addressing an organization-specific need, challenge and/or opportunity, these partnerships let non-academic organizations and postsecondary researchers access each other’s unique knowledge, expertise and capabilities on topics of mutual interest. They are designed for a single partner organization and will be offered four times per year. Partnership Engage Grants are expected to respond to the objectives of SSHRC’s Insight and  Connection programs.

COVID-19 Special Initiative Partnership Engage Grants are also available for this round.

Eligibility: Applicants  must hold an eligible academic research appointment at Western.

More information and applications…   Full Applications are to be processed through Research Western  and are to be accompanied by a completed ROLA.

NOTES:
Only one organization may be involved as a partner organization.
Individuals may apply for only one Partnership Engage Grant per calendar year.
