Partnership Engage Grants (PEG) provide short-term and timely support so that academic researchers can partner with organizations from the public, private or not-for-profit sector in research activities that will inform the decision-making of that single partner.

Amount: $7,000 – $25,000 (over one year)

Deadlines:
Faculty Research Office: 1 week prior to SSHRC deadline. (If you wish to have feedback on your application allow at least two weeks – contact Karen Kueneman)
Western Research: 1 week prior to SSHRC deadline
SSHRC: March 15; Upcoming deadlines: June 15; September 15; December 15

Description: The small-scale, stakeholder-driven partnerships are meant to respond to immediate needs and time constraints facing organizations in non-academic sectors. In addressing an organization-specific need, challenge and/or opportunity, these partnerships let non-academic organizations and postsecondary researchers access each other’s unique knowledge, expertise and capabilities on topics of mutual interest. They are designed for a single partner organization. Partnership Engage Grants are expected to respond to the objectives of SSHRC’s Insight and  Connection programs.

Eligibility: Applicants must hold an eligible academic research appointment at Western.

More information on PEG and applications…   Full Applications are to be processed through Western Research and are to be accompanied by a completed ROLA.

NOTES:
*Only one organization may be involved as a partner organization.
*Individuals may apply for only one Partnership Engage Grant per calendar year.
