Structural Equation Modeling Workshop

Dr. Piotr Wilk, Assistant Professor in the Department of Epidemiology & Biostatistics & Co-Director of Stats Canada’s RDC Program at Western, will be leading an introductory Structural Equation Modeling workshop for ICES Western staff, Western Libraries and RDC affiliates.

Workshop: Introduction to Structural Equation Modeling

Structural Equations Modeling (SEM) is a general statistical tool for simultaneously estimating complex relationships between observed (measured) and unobserved (latent) variables. This popular technique offers a more reliable and flexible estimation approach than the traditionally used methods such as multiple regression or ANOVA. This workshop provides a general introduction to the theory of SEM and offers practical examples of working with real data. The workshop is aimed at beginners and assumes no prior experience with SEM. Participants are expected to be familiar with multiple linear regression.

Date: Monday, June 13th, 2016
