The 2022 competition for the Alzheimer Foundation Southwest Partners Premier Research Grant is now open for applications.

Amount: $100,000

Faculty Research Office: one week prior to agency deadline (for internal review of draft application allow 2-3 weeks)
Western Research: November 7, 2022 (ROLA)
Alzheimer Foundation: November 14, 2022, 3:00 pm

Description: Supported by the Alzheimer Foundation Southwest Partners, this program primarily promotes overall scientific excellence and relevance to Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. Applications will be received and reviewed on topics related to biomedical, psychological, and/or social aspects of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. Potential topics of enquiry include, but are not limited to, biomedical-based research into the causes and cures of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, and social and psychological aspects of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias such as care giving, family support, and issues of care in long term care settings. Projects must also reflect the national research priorities of the Alzheimer Society of Canada, which include prevention, advanced therapies, finding a cure and improving the quality of life for those living with the disease and their caregivers.

Eligibility: Applicants  must hold an eligible academic research appointment at Western.
